Okay, I owe all you fantastic readers a giant apology. I’ve been very intermittent with Circuit updates over the past month. No legit excuse, but I’ll give you the usual… I blame summer in Maine. It’s short and sweet, friends come up to visit, and I travel down east to some visiting of my own. This year I haven’t had a buffer of Circuit strips to cover the schedule whilst I go off and do other things, so I’ve been a bad cartoonist of late.
It’s safe to say that in the beginning of August, you’ll have more Circuits to read on a regular basis. I will keep you all posted. In the future, I’ll also try to be better at updating via Facebook and Twitter as well. Thanks, as always, for being loyal readers.
In the meantime, have you heard? Bloom County is back!! Like, actually back, with new daily strips and color weekend strips! Bloom County, in case you didn’t know, was one of my absolute favorite strips growing up. It’s an odd and wonderful feeling to be reading it on a regular basis once more. I’d recommend simply heading over to Berkeley Breathed’s Facebook page. That’s where he’s been posting and sharing the new stuff. The computer I’m using right now (not my own) won’t let me embed a link, but if you ask Google nicely, I’m sure you’ll find it. I’ll update with a link soon.
And better than ever! Well… actually it’s pretty much the same as it was. After a week of waiting for a new motherboard for my computer, and having almost no idea what to do with myself during that entire time (except to binge-watch “Mind of a Chef”), my precious new/not-really-an-upgrade mobo arrived. With a little elbow grease, some thermal grease, some light cursing, a single tear, and a heavy dose of prayer to the fickle computer gods, my PC is at last up and running again. And THAT means you’ll have a new Circuit to read tomorrow. Are you excited? I know I am.
Hey there, loyal Circuit readers! I’m very sorry, but I won’t be able to post any more Circuits for at least a week. Computers are fickle beasts, and mine is out of commission. I’ve ordered parts, and the earliest I will get said parts is next Tuesday. Ideally I’ll be up and running soon enough to post NEXT Friday, but it depends on when I get the parts and when I find the time to actually do the repairs, so there’s no guarantee. I will keep you updated.
I’m taking a rare vacation, and I’m too lazy to do a Klassic Kircuit for you, so there’ll be no new Circuit on Monday. If you want, you can read today’s again, though. Wednesday I’ll be back on schedule, so fear not! You’ll be able to continue your Pancho and Lefty fix with little interruption. Enjoy your weekend!
Today I introduce two new characters to the Circuit roster: Pancho and Lefty. Lefty is the one on the left, but that makes him the right hand, technically speaking. I know, I know… it’s complicated.
Click to embiggen.
I like them so much I made a wallpaper for you! I may add a title to the image at some point, but I wanted to share it right away, so feel free to make it your desktop background, and make all your friends do it also. Click on the thumbnail above to get the hi-res version. And then stare at them on your desktop, instead of working. It’s what I’ve been doing.
I began with a pretty general idea of who these characters would be, but by the time I finished drawing them, I realized they’re destined to be a major part of Circuit canon. Perhaps even spin-off material? I’ll add that to the list of things I’m procrastinating on.
I hope you like ’em. If anyone wants a different wallpaper size, let me know in the comments below, and I’ll make it happen. How about a mobile phone version? My phone is an ancient flip phone, so I don’t really know if that’s a thing people would want. Again, let me know in the comments if you do.
