No, don’t be sorry! I had the idea for the bell a while back, but I didn’t think of doing the “farewell scene” until you mentioned the sign. I almost gave it a line in a thought bubble, but I think I like it better that there was no response at all.
I suppose I strayed a bit from the computer parts theme, adding a bell and all, but I couldn’t resist. Not that I’ve really striven for technical authenticity since the start of the strip… I suppose not every computer is full of doors, either.
